Since we go to Disney World often, and usually find some interesting things, I wanted to share the neat things I have discovered so you might be able to enjoy these without the learning curve.
We have been stayed at the Wyndam Buena Vista and Buena Vista Palace (BVP) the last 2 visits. Both have been great places, without any of the complaints I have seen in others reviews. We were in room 1928 at the BVP and had a great easterly view. There is no gated parking so you can just drive in and park. Downtown Disney/Disney Springs is across the street so its an easy walk. If we are going for the day this would be the place I would go, free bus service to the parks, and easy access to Disney Springs. We were looking for a place to eat and went to Planet Hollywood about 8 pm and it was packed. A table for 2 was a 45 minute wait. So we walked around and found the bar on the 2nd floor had 2 open tables, so we sat and had the best service we have had anywhere. The drinks and Crunchy Chicken things were out really fast. When we finally got around to ordering the Shrimp Alfredo, it was like they had it waiting for us. It was enough for 2. And we split the Bananas Foster, Mmmm. On the way back to the hotel we stopped at the Ghiradelli Chocolate place and got a cup of drinking chocolate, this is good stuff.

We went again last weekend (3/7/15) and wanted to see Animal Kingdom, but since this closed at 7 we parked at the Magic Kingdom and took the bus (#6). The Safari was very nice, it was about 5:30 and it appeared the animals were starting to head home, many were blocking the road and we had to wait for them to continue. This put them right next to the truck, very nice indeed. Then we headed over to the Kilimanjaro ride, it has so many cool things in the line to see. The line was short and the ride was great, as always. We tried to stop in Yak and Yeti for another taste of the yummy rice, but they were very busy and not accepting anymore walkins, so if you want to eat there about 6 pm, be sure to make reservation. We headed to the bus for the ride back to MK and just missed it, but the next one should be 20 minutes away, right? Well, after more then 40 minutes I walked over to the little bus building and let them know the bus to MK was over due and we had 4 rows of irate people waiting. As I got back in line a bus magically appeared!! So start your timer when you get in line and don't be shy about visiting the bus building. When we got to the MK we took the train to the station at the back by the new part and were going to work our way to the front and leave. We found the great place to eat, Gastons Tavern. We split the pork shank and a HUGE cinnamon roll, both were very good. We ran into the parade and had to detour towards tomorrowland to keep going. The parade is nice but I have seen it so many times... We did find a nice place to view the parade when we were waiting for the train, its right above the town square and you can see the road all the way to the castle. Next time we go, we should have the new grandchild and this will be a good vantage spot. We wanted to leave before the fireworks and avoid the crush of humanity so took off, there were still lots of people leaving so we walked to the car, all the way to Ursala 97, all the way by the race track.
